Terms of Sale
The plain-English terms for buying fan power on maprumble.com. They say the same things the Fan power and About pages say; where this page and those pages differ, this page governs the sale.
Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]. Seller: [LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS]. Monitored contact: [MONITORED EMAIL].
1. Who we are
These terms cover every purchase made on maprumble.com. The seller is [LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS], reachable at [MONITORED EMAIL]. "We", "us" and "the show" mean that seller and the Map Rumble series it produces.
Map Rumble is an independent, fictional entertainment series. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or representing any government, state, province, territory, country or organisation.
By paying for fan power you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not buy.
2. What a fan power purchase is
Fan power comes in $5 steps from $5 to $50 into one pool per faction per season. Every $5 adds +1% strength to the faction's next battle ($5 = ×1.01, $25 = ×1.05, $45 = ×1.09); a full $50 pool secures that win. +1% strength is about half a point on the odds bar at even odds, about four points at $45; the episode prints the before and after.
Any number of fans fill the pool; it is spent, whatever it holds, in the next battle the faction fights, and the faction is then done for the season. If the faction is conquered before the pool is spent, the pool becomes its rebellion fund (a bonus round at $50, a real draw, not a guarantee, home territory only). One pool per faction: boost or rebellion, not both.
How the secured win is shown. The five real draws are still made, shown and recorded; if they went the other way the episode shows the natural result and then FAN POWER. If both sides of a battle hold a full $50 pool it is a FAN CLASH: both pools are spent, nothing is refunded, the real draws decide, and the episode shows it as a special showdown.
It is not a bet, a lottery ticket or an investment. There is nothing to win and nothing is paid out to anyone based on a result. You are paying for a fixed effect in a fictional show and to have your note shown with it. The effect happens whether the faction wins or loses.
3. Price
Contributions come in $5 steps, from $5 to $50. The cap is $50 per faction per season: one pool, filled by any number of fans, and spent once in the faction's next battle. A contribution that would take a pool past $50 cannot be accepted and is refunded in full (section 5).
All prices in US dollars (USD). There are no fees on top of the stated price; your card issuer may charge its own conversion fee if your card is not in US dollars.
4. Delivery
It applies to the next battle your faction fights, attacking or defending; that may be tomorrow or weeks away. It waits in the ledger, with no expiry, until the season ends. Every contribution is recorded in the season ledger before the battle it affects and is checked by the end-of-season replay.
Your fan power is delivered when it has been applied in a published episode. Because the show draws a random attacker and defender each battle, we cannot promise a date. We state this here and before the Pay button on purpose: you are buying an effect with an open delivery date inside the season, not a scheduled service.
5. Refunds
Full refund, without asking, when a payment cannot be applied: the pool was already full or spent, someone filled the last room first, the season ends before your faction's next battle, or a rebellion fund has not reached $50 by season end. Once your fan power has been applied in a published episode it has been delivered and is not refundable.
Refunds go back to the card that paid, through Stripe, usually within 5–10 business days. Questions or mistakes: [MONITORED EMAIL].
Those are the only refunds. A faction losing its battle is not grounds for a refund: the effect was applied and shown, and the five real draws decided the rest, exactly as described in section 2. A FAN CLASH is not grounds for a refund: both pools are spent, nothing is refunded, the real draws decide.
6. Supporter notes
You may attach a supporter note of up to 140 characters to a contribution. Supporter notes are shown publicly in episodes; do not include anything you would not want published.
By adding a note you give us permission to show it, with your contribution amount and the faction, in episodes, on this site and in clips and stills of the show, for as long as the show exists, without payment. You confirm the note is yours to give and does not name a private person without their consent.
We may shorten a note, or leave it out, if it is abusive, hateful, advertises something, names a private person, impersonates someone, or would break a platform's rules. Leaving a note out, or shortening it, does not change the in-show effect of your contribution and is not grounds for a refund.
7. Who can buy
- You must be 18 or older to buy fan power.
- Sales are made to buyers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Buying from elsewhere is at your own risk and under these same terms.
- One email can back up to three factions per season.
- You must use a card that is yours to use.
8. Payment
Processed by Stripe; we never see your card. Payment is taken in full when you complete Stripe's checkout. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself. Your receipt comes from Stripe to the email you give.
9. Fictional show, not gambling
Fictional show. Fan power is a purchase with a fixed in-show effect, not gambling: no prizes, nothing to win. Purchases are not refundable once applied in a published episode, except as stated in the refund rule above. A battle result says nothing about any actual place, government or the people who live there.
10. The rules of a season
Ratings and rules are locked when a season starts and cannot change until the next one. The full algorithm, with the real numbers, is published on How it works, and every random number comes from a seed whose SHA-256 commitment is published before the season starts. Your purchase is made under the rules published for the season in which you buy.
We may update these terms for future purchases by posting a new version here with a new effective date. A purchase is governed by the version in force when you paid.
11. Disputes
If something went wrong, write to [MONITORED EMAIL] first. Most problems are one of the refund cases in section 5 and are settled with a refund to your card within a few days. If you instead dispute the charge with your card issuer, Stripe handles the dispute and we answer it with the season ledger and the published episode that shows your contribution.
Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the consumer protection law of the place where you live that cannot be waived by agreement.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer law of your home jurisdiction says otherwise and cannot be waived.
13. Sponsors
Sponsor placements are not sold under these terms. They are booked by written agreement with the seller, paid upfront by card on a Stripe invoice before the first airing, and a removed post is re-run as a make-good, never refunded in cash. The standard offer, what a sponsor gets and never gets, and how placements are labelled are on the Sponsors page. No sponsor has any say in who fights, who wins, the ratings, the seed or the ledger.
14. Contact
Purchase and refund questions: [MONITORED EMAIL]. Everything else: hello@maprumble.example. The seller's postal address is [ADDRESS]. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
