Privacy Policy

This site collects very little: an email address when you buy fan power or ask to follow a faction, and what you type into the sponsor inquiry form. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. This page says exactly what is collected, why, where it lives and how to have it deleted.

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE]. Controller: [LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS]. Monitored contact: [MONITORED EMAIL].

1. What we collect

Browsing. Nothing from us. The pages load our own JSON data files and fonts from this site and fill the pages in your browser; nothing about you is sent anywhere. Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) for security and to serve the site, under its own privacy policy.

Buying fan power. The email address for your receipt, the faction, the amount, the season and your optional supporter note of up to 140 characters. Your card details go to Stripe on Stripe's own pages; we never see your card. In Checkout mode you type the email on this site and we pass it to Stripe to prefill the checkout; in Payment Links mode you type it on Stripe's page. To enforce the limit of three factions per email per season, our checkout function looks up paid sessions for that email in our Stripe account; it stores nothing itself.

Supporter notes. Supporter notes are shown publicly in episodes; do not include anything you would not want published. A note is tied to a faction and an amount, never to your email, in anything we publish.

Following a faction. Your email address, the faction you chose and the time you submitted the form, so we can send the weekly digest plus a note when that faction fights, its pool moves or it is conquered.

Sponsor inquiries. Brand, website, contact name, email, the package you asked about, preferred dates and your message.

We do not collect your name for a fan power purchase, your location, your contacts, or anything from your device beyond what any web server receives to deliver a page.

2. Why

  • To send your Stripe receipt and to refund you to the card that paid when a payment cannot be applied.
  • To record your contribution in the season ledger before the battle it affects, so it can be applied and later checked by the end-of-season replay.
  • To enforce the limit of three factions per email per season.
  • To send the digest and faction notes you asked for, and nothing else.
  • To answer a sponsor inquiry.
  • To keep the site up and safe (server logs).
  • To keep the records that tax law and card-dispute rules require us to keep.

3. Where it lives

  • Stripe holds the payment, your receipt email and the note as checkout metadata, in the United States, under Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Netlify hosts the site and stores form submissions (faction follow and sponsor inquiry) in its dashboard; we receive each submission by email.
  • The studio's ledger. Before each episode we export paid contributions from Stripe into a ledger file (amount, note, faction, payment reference, time, email) kept offline by the seller and never published or committed to the site. The public ledger in episodes and on this site shows faction, amount and note only.
  • The mailing tool that sends the digest and faction notes: [EMAIL TOOL], named here before the first digest goes out.

4. How long we keep it

  • Purchase records (email, faction, amount, note, payment reference): for the season and the card-dispute window after it, and for as long after that as tax law requires us to keep sales records.
  • Supporter notes: for as long as the episode that shows them exists.
  • Faction-follow addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until the show ends, whichever comes first.
  • Sponsor inquiries: until answered, then up to one year, or for the length of the booking plus the dispute window if you become a sponsor.
  • Server logs: on Netlify's own schedule, which is short.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It is handled only by the processors named above (Stripe, Netlify, the mailing tool), each under its own agreement, and disclosed only when the law requires it or to answer a card dispute. Sponsors never receive fan data; the weekly report a sponsor gets is views per post from each app's own insights.

6. Children

You must be 18 or older to buy fan power. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you think a child has given us an email address, write to [MONITORED EMAIL] and we will delete it.

7. Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the digest and faction notes in one click, from the link in any email.
  • Deletion. Email [MONITORED EMAIL] from the address in question and we delete what we hold about you within 30 days, except the purchase records that tax law and card-dispute rules make us keep for their set periods. A supporter note already shown in a published episode stays in that episode; we can remove it from this site's ledger display on request.
  • Access and correction. Ask at the same address and we will tell you what we hold and fix anything that is wrong.

8. Cookies

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: no tracking cookies, no local storage, no session storage. The only script that runs is our own, served from this site: it fills the pages from our data files, works the faction picker and the odds calculator, and fills the follow form's list of factions. Fonts are served from this site, not from a font service.

Stripe's checkout and invoice pages, which you reach when you pay, set Stripe's own cookies on Stripe's domain for fraud prevention and to run the checkout. The follow links to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube are plain links; nothing from those apps is embedded here.

9. Analytics

None. No analytics script, no tag manager, no pixel. The follower and view figures on the Sponsors page are typed in by hand from each app's own insights; they do not come from measuring you on this site.

10. Changes

If we start collecting something new, or use a new processor, we update this page first and change the effective date at the top.

11. Contact

Privacy questions, deletion and access requests: [MONITORED EMAIL]. Everything else: hello@maprumble.example. Postal address: [ADDRESS]. The terms for buying fan power are on the Terms of Sale page.
